The Youth Food Toolkit

Join Aber Food Surplus and take environmental action:

We are looking for youth volunteers, aged 11-18 to join us in exploring the Food Activist Toolkit!

Every Thursday, join us at 4pm - 6:30pm in the ECO Food Sharing Hub for free and supported activities to deepen your connection to food, health, community and wellbeing.

What does this involve?

-Exploring solutions for sustainable food systems and climate change action

-Develop personal skills in growing and cooking food, and obtain a level 2 food safety certification

-Grow as an individual through learning about collaboration, critical thinking, confidence and independence

-Hosting community events

-Creative Welsh Heritage activities

Upcoming Activities:

Thursday October 21st - Meet at the ECO Food Sharing Hub at 4pm, and we will press apple juice (bring clean bottles & any surplus apples if you have them, we will have apples)

Wednesday 27th October - It is half term! If you are 11 or over come along and find out more about volunteering opportunities at the ECO Food Sharing Hub, we will have activities and snacks from 2:30pm - 5:30pm.

Thursday 28th October - 4pm, meet at ECO Food Sharing Hub, 4:30pm, meet at Penparcau Community Forum to walk over to the LuDato Si Community Garden for an introduction to horticulture training.

(TBC Cooking workshop and lunch in the day time before heading to the garden)

Thursday 25th November - Reflecting on food activism, at the ECO Food Sharing Hub
