Surplus Food Boxes can be made to a size that meets your household needs. Surplus food is a bit ‘random’ so you might need to get creative in the kitchen, use search engines to find new recipes, text your family for ideas, and try new dishes! This is a great way to learn how to make ingredients go further in your house, reduce your environmental impact, and learn new food saving tips!
Sofa Suppers are healthy ready meals made from surplus food, help us reduce food waste from your sofa!
Delivery
We will be trying to reduce our carbon emissions and make our delivery routes as efficient as possible. This will also help us as an organisation as we operate on a shoestring budget.
Price
We have made this service an affordable and accessible environmental choice, please get in touch if you have feedback on this, we welcome your ideas on how we can support the community at this time and conversations about our food system.
Reliability
We do not recommend the use of surplus food to tackle inequality due to fluctuations in supply. Please use this service as a creative addition to your kitchen, to batch cook, and try new things like preserving, fermenting or other foodie activities!
