Bwyd Dyfi Hub: Organic and Local produce; eating seasonally; supporting local producers
  • Organic and Local Produce

  • Eating seasonally

  • Supporting local producers

Bwyd Dyfi Hub provides an online marketplace for local producers who are growing agroecologically, we supplement what is available locally, with organic produce from our organic wholesalers.

How does it work?

Browse and select your choice of produce via our our online shop here between Thursday 1pm and Sunday 7.30pm.

Produce is freshly harvested, and collected from local producers Tuesday morning. We then pack your bespoke box, and it will be available for you to collect between 3pm and 5.30, or Wednesdays between 12midday and 2pm from the ECO Food Sharing Hub, 15 Chalybeate Street, SY23 1HS. Alternatively, bike delivery is available up to 4km out of town, and we also deliver (via community electric vehicle) along a linear route between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth.

We are proud to be supporting local producers to sell high quality agroecologically produced produce from across the Dyfi Biosphere and beyond.
We are working towards increasing the local food economy with more people having access to fresh vegetables and fruits from the local area.

Where does our food come from?

Ash & Elm Horticulture - Emma and Dave sell a range of fruit, veg, plants, preserves, juices and flowers from their 5 acre farm near Llanidloes. Emma is also a Tutor / trainer on the Pathways to Farming project.

Cwrtycadno farmhouse (Ystwyth Valley Apple breeders) - James has been offering some delicious and interestingly named variety apples for us this season from the orchard. As well as this he is an apple breeder, combining desirable traits from the best commercial, heritage and local varieties.

Dyfi Dairy - Sophia and Scott manage their small dairy in Wales with compassion and respect at the heart of its practice, keeping young with mums, farming regeneratively, and making nutrient dense food. They offer delicious milk, halloumi, fudge and yoghurt each week in the hub.

Einion’s Garden - Ann and John run their oasis of a market garden near Furnace, producing high quality salads and vegetables and fruit. Ann is also the Ceredigion Local Food Partnership Coordinator.

Enfys Veg - a new market garden based in Talybont. Look out for their delicious and diverse squashes and garlics.

Free Range Foods - Paul, Suzanne, Billy and their team have an excellent example of a newly created market garden. They work hard to supply lots of high quality vegetables to various outlets.

Madarch Wales - sharing the fascination and flavour of the fungal kingdom, Madarch produces oyster, shiitake & other exotic mushrooms using low impact methods. They also make a range of ready-meals and preserves in Llanbadarn Fawr, Ceredigion

Melindwr Farm - Kare runs a small scale market garden and an experimental grain growing project near the Glandyfi Estate

Penglais Community Gardens - a volunteer run community garden at the top of Penglais hill, by the Students’ Union.

Perllan Gogerddan - a recently established orchard containing heritage and rare cultivars of perry pears and cider apples.

Seymour Local Veg - Cath & her partner grow near Llangwyryfon – look out for their new potatoes as the season starts.

Watson & Pratts - an organic wholesaler based in Llambed / Lampeter.

Ystwyth Valley Eggs - a small egg producer, ten minutes from Aberystwyth

Fferm Llety Llwyd, Tal-y-Bont - pasture fed mutton, lamb and beef boxes direct to door.

Welsh Mountain Lamb, Bont Goch - lamb and beef boxes direct to door.
